GamFratesi was formed and is run by the architects Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi.
Stine is from Denmark, with a degree from the School of Architecture in Aarhus, which she received in 2006. While training she travelled and worked in Italy and Japan. Enrico is Italian, from Pesaro, although he studied at Florence's University. Whilst he was training, he lived and worked for a period in Sweden and Denmark.
The Scandinavian inspired duo works closely with quality materials and simple forms to create minimal and functional pieces.
GamFratesi have received significant awards including Elle Decoration International design award (EDIDA) as International Young Designer of the Year 2013, Vico Magistretti Award by De Padova, the Chicago Atheneum Museum of Architecture’s Good Design Award, Best Danish Designer 2012 by Bolig magasinet, ‘Walk the Plank award 2009’ and Best Danish Designer 2009 by RUM.
