George Carwardine

George Carwardine was a British designer and automotive engineer best known for his invention of the Anglepoise lamp. Made around the 1930s, the Anglepoise was of effective and revolutionary design as the light was constructed to enable a variety of positions. A key feature of the Anglepoise design is the placement of springs near the base, demonstrating a balanced equilibrium along with flexibility.
