Giandomenico Belotti (1922-2004) started his design career after graduating in architecture from the University of Venice. He began work in research, restoration, city planning and industrial design.
From 1979, Giandomenico Belotti collaborated with Alias where he first developed the Spaghetti chair. The Spaghetti chair is still considered a renowned piece of design today, being part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York, being representative of modern expression art. Belotti also designed the Green outdoor collection with Alias, which is also a renowned range.
