Mariana Pellegrino Soto was raised in Venezuela, South America where she attended Agostino Codazzi, an Italian scientific high school.
She continued her education in Italy, studying a Product Design course at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. Mariana also took on the Erasmus opportunity, where she spent one semester at the Institute’s Barcelona campus. She saw success during her time at university, where she was credited and won a water bottle design competition, also winning the Best Packaging Award in the Global Bottled Water Awards 2016.
She started her more prominent design work whilst in her final year of university, where she collaborated with Oluce - one Italy's oldest design and illuminator companies. With Oluce she developed a final project, and now her Alba collection of different lights inspired by nature and water droplets is part of the Oluce range.
Currently, Mariana works as a design developer for F&N Compositi.
