Pizzolorusso

Emanuele Pizzolorusso is an Italian designer based in Helsinki. After founding his small studio in 2011, he has worked with several international clients as both a concept and industrial designer.

Pizzolorusso’s designs attempt to question and deepen the understanding of the relationship between a product and its users, together with a heightened sensibility towards their nomadic, urban and digital lifestyles. His creations are the result of a synthesis of new scenarios and uses. His work is frequently realised with the use of unique gestures.

In his three years of work, the singularity of Pizzolorusso’s design approach has generated products brimming with meaning, such as Crumpled City maps, and the ability to arouse the curiosity of a wide cross-section of the public.

Through capillary presence of his products all around the world, he has sparked media interest from Monocle, Spiegel, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, Vogue, the New York Times, Wired and Dezeen.
