Iittala has represented a timeless method of design since 1881.
What began as a glass factory in Iittala, Finland, now celebrates generations of objects that are made to enrich people’s everyday lives. Iittala believes objects should be distinctive, combinable and multi-functional, with lasting design that allows for individual use and expression.
Recent designs such as Lempi (meaning ‘favourite in Finnish) embody this practice through the designs simple and luxurious form, while also maintaining a high degree of functionality and durability. This allows for the glasses to be used often, and in a wide number of settings.
The progressive philosophy of design heroes Kaj Franck and Alvar Aalto keep Iittala forever relevant.
