Mast Brothers is a company devoted to making craft chocolate in specialist workshops in Brooklyn and London.
The company was founded by Rick and Michael Mast in 2007 with the intention of bringing an artisanal approach to chocolate-making at scale. Whereas the majority of mass-produced chocolate is made using a melange of cheap and over-processed cocoa beans, Mast Brothers pursue a rigorous bean-to-bar approach which sees individual varieties of high quality beans used to make small batches of carefully crafted bars.
With their subtle and intriguing flavours and signature design-conscious packaging, Mast Brothers chocolate bars have swiftly gained a worldwide recognition. The company now operates two sleekly minimalist, architect-designed chocolate workshops in New York and London, with a third to open shortly in LA.
