Mikael Nilsson

Mikael Nilsson was born in Linkoping, Sweden in 1972 and studied Handicraft and Culture at Linkopings University.

Using an axe and a knife Nilsson carves crows from Limewood stained black. The woods rough appearance lends itself to the appearance of these birds.

“I try to give each figure a personality, express a feeling, motion, gesture. I make crows because I like them and would like to have a real one as a friend”
