The iconic Aalto 60 stool provided the basis for a host of furniture designs employing the innovative L-Leg. Seating, tables and storage furniture all shared the component to provide structural and functional integrity.
Chair 69 was one of several designs that provided improved comfort and utility to the stool, through an upholstered seat, raked back legs and laminated birch plywood back.
The chair offered has a unique provenance having come from the University of Technology, Helsinki. The Aalto designed building began construction in 1949 and the tables released during a refit in 2012.
