Pavilion Armchair AV2 by Anderssen + Voll for &Tradition.
The Pavilion range by Anderssen & Voll pays homage to Copenhagen's Langellini Pavilion, a wholly modernist building designed by architect couple Eva and Niels Koppel. Designed for the pavilion itself, this range of furniture embodies the minimalist construction of the movement.
Briefed with designing a lightweight stackable chair that would suit the surroundings of the building, the Pavilion armchair blends the old with the new. A traditional laminated veneer seat and seat back is form pressed into an ergonomic shape to better support the sitter. The tube frame eschews the fixed angles of traditional modernist design and adopts more natural curves. The result is a graceful yet strong dining or side chair for daily use.
