The Kape Chair by Industrial Facility marks the studio’s second collaboration with &Tradition. Launched in 2026, it presents a bold, graphic expression shaped by principles of adaptability and longevity. Rather than treating durability as an afterthought, the design integrates it into the chair’s construction through a removable upholstery concept.
A cantilevered seat forms the foundation of Kape’s visual identity, reflecting the geometry of the backrest to create a balanced and coherent form. The upholstered element is designed to slide on and off effortlessly, supporting repair, refurbishment, and responsible material separation at the end of the product’s life.

Post-consumer recycled aluminium frame with a polished or warm black powder-coated finish. Plastic gliders installed as standard.
FSC®-certified wood seat and back fitted with foam and removable upholstery cover.
Upholstery available in a range of fabrics and leathers.

Note: Fire treatment is required for use in a public space. Furniture orders requiring FR treatment will incur a 15% upcharge, with an increase of 3 weeks to the lead time. Please enquire for further details.
