RFH Armchair RD7 by Robin Day for &Tradition.
In collaboration with &Tradition and the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation, five designs from Robin Day’s iconic furniture collection for the Royal Festival Hall in London have been reissued, with some available for purchase for the first time.
The reissued collection features the RFH Armchair, a groundbreaking design created in 1951 for the dining hall’s restaurant. Its wing-like armrests, formed through form-press moulding, grow organically from the curved plywood back, giving the piece a dynamic quality, as if poised for flight.
The armchair is crafted from beech and walnut veneer and features flat-head brass screws on the backrest, combining functionality with elegant detailing.

Crafted from walnut and beech veneer, powder-coated steel tubing and steel rod and foam.
