Designed by Space Copenhagen in 2026, the &Tradition Thorvald Dining Bench draws inspiration from the neo-classical legacy of Bertel Thorvaldsen and the distinctive cultural energy of his hometown, Copenhagen.
Referencing both the artist’s work and the eponymous museum in Denmark, the bench forms part of a wider outdoor collection characterized by sculptural forms that integrate seamlessly into various settings.
A natural companion to the Thorvald Dining Table, the bench’s metal structure is carefully shaped into flowing forms, with a curved backrest that enhances both comfort and expression. Fine metal lines are brought together through refined finishing processes, resulting in a durable, tactile surface suited for outdoor use.
The bench is available with an optional cushion, offered in either a seat pad or full cushion and in a choice of three upholstery fabrics.

Materials
Crafted from powder coated steel in either ivory, warm black or bronze green.
The cushions are available upholstered in Heritage Papyrus or Heritage Char, a water-repellent, stain-resistant canvases made from 50% recycled acrylic, 47% acrylic, and 3% polyester, or in Marquetry Bora, a water-repellent, stain-resistant canvas made from 100% acrylic.
