First introduced as a pendant in 1959, Verner Panton’s Topan is reimagined here as a sculptural table lamp. This new interpretation offers a fresh perspective on one of Panton’s most iconic forms, transforming it into a freestanding light that explores transparency, balance, and material contrast.
The shade is crafted from a single piece of spun aluminium, maintaining the purity of its original shape. Below, a base of extruded acrylic is precisely cut and flame-polished. This finish gives the edges a smooth, glass-like clarity that subtly catches and reflects light.
