To celebrate Artek's 90th anniversary in 2025, Finnish contemporary artist Inka Bell has designed a poster inspired by Alvar Aalto's iconic Screen 100.
Drawing from the screen’s distinctive contours and Aalto's practice of incorporating industrial production techniques with humane natural materials, Bell merges traditional analogue printmaking with new techniques in mark and image making.
Through layers of blue and black ink, Bell has used laser engraving to produce a dynamic geometric pattern that balances the unexpected and the familiar. The result is a visual language that connects the shared aesthetic values of Artek and Inka Bell.
