LT8 Floor Lamp
LT8 Floor Lamp by Osvaldo Borsani for Astep.
Osvaldo Borsani, a prominent figure in Italian modernism, designed the LT8 lamp in 1954 for his new company Tecno, presenting the light at the X Triennale in Milan.
One of the first of its kind, the pioneering hybrid ceiling-to-floor design features an extruded aluminium structure complemented by adjustable brass legs, making its design flexible and suitable for a wide range of public and private spaces. The shade of the sculptural design can be directed at any angle to create a landscape of light.
Reissued by Astep in 2023, the original fluorescent tubes have been updated with an integrated, dimmable LED module.
