Folding Table
Folding Table by Bruno Mathsson for Bruno Mathsson International.
The folding table has been a classic piece of furniture in Swedish homes since the 17th century. In 1936, Bruno Mathsson introduced his version of the traditional design, which featured in Everyday Art Quarterly magazine in the mid-1950s as an archetypal symbol of Swedish form.
Cleverly designed to be folded in or out by just one person, this innovative table allows endless possibilities. The table ranges from 87cm to 280cm in length and folds down to a compact 23cm, which easily sits against a wall as a narrow sideboard or can be tucked away. This highly versatile, iconic design is available in birch or oak veneer finishes or with a white Formica laminate top.
