The PK1 Chair is considered by many to be the catalyst behind Poul Kjærholm's remarkable career. Conceived in 1955, this was Kjærholm's first-ever dining chair and showcases the designer's talent for combining steel with natural materials.
Since its conception, the seat has gained wide recognition for its lightness, elegance, and comfort. Initially made using peddig pipe but was recently relaunched by Carl Hansen using a durable FSC-certified paper cord weave. As the paper cord ages, it develops a lovely patina, making the chair a beautiful and comfortable addition to any dining room.
