Forum Sofa, 1964

Forum Sofa by Robin Day for Case.

With its origins dating back to 1964, Robin Day's Forum sofa is a true mid-century icon. Boasting a handsome hardwood frame that has been expertly crafted with intricate finger joint detailing, the chrome-plated legs, mounted to the seat's exterior, provide ample support while adding a touch of modernity to the piece. This decision to leave the joints visible was deliberate, as Day wanted to highlight the beauty of the construction.

Forum has been revived by the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation for Case Furniture. The team carefully recreated every detail, referencing the original production and drawings of the design, using modern materials to enhance longevity; such as solid walnut or oak were instead of tropical hardwood veneers and a metal-reinforced frame for strength.
