Forum 2 Seat Sofa
Forum 2 Seat Sofa by Robin Day for Case.
The Forum sofa, designed by Robin Day in 1964, is an iconic piece of mid-century British design. Its defining feature is its hardwood frame with intricate finger joint detailing, purposely left visible to showcase the construction's beauty. The chrome-plated legs, mounted to the seat's exterior, provide ample support while adding a touch of modernity.
The Forum collection was revived by the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation for Case Furniture in 2023, with the two-seater sofa joining it the year after. The team carefully recreated every detail, referencing the original production and drawings of the design and using modern materials to enhance longevity, such as solid walnut or oak instead of tropical hardwood veneers and a metal-reinforced frame for strength.
