Designed by Japanese designer Yuji Okitsu, DCW Editions' Focus collection showcases a composition of mobile lenses delicately poised atop one another, allowing for rotational movement to scatter light in every direction. These sleek and light lenses, made of transparent PMMA, encase the LED sources. They elegantly affix to aluminium frameworks suspended from the ceiling, resembling a mobile art piece.
This lighting fixture possesses a poetic and ethereal quality, dynamically engaging with its environment to continuously shape the space. The lenses fracture the surroundings, creating a captivating "distorting" effect. With their ability to capture, gather, and diffuse natural ambient light from all angles, the various lenses form a mesmerizing interplay.
The Focus fixture gracefully sways and rotates in response to surrounding air currents, capable of transforming into diverse configurations.
