With an emphasis on longevity, and an individual sensory response, it is constructed from well-proportioned Douglas Fir timber planks, each with a continuous wood grain. Made to accommodate a range of mattress sizes, the frame also features a simple and functional shelf at the back, suitable for placing small bedside items.

A minimal and simplistic design, Bed One from De La Espada, has a considered and paired back form. Made to accommodate a range of mattress sizes, the frame also features a simple and functional shelf at the back, suitable for placing small bedside items.

King (fits Euro King, UK King, US Queen and Australian Queen mattresses): 208w × 256.5d × 90cmh
Super King (fits UK Super King, US King, US California King, and Australian King mattresses): 238.5w × 263d × 90cmh
Platform height is 30cm.
Materials
Made from European Douglas Fir, with a white oiled finish. Platform base is made from black stained MDF, featuring holes for air circulation

Please note: as Douglas Fir is a softwood, it will mark will regular use. De La Espada suggest to steam-repair dents in the timber, whilst also recommending to embrace some level of wear and tear as part of the ongoing story and beauty of your Douglas Fir furniture. Knots are naturally present in this timber, which lends to the character of each plank.
