The Gelato Portable Lamp by Established & Sons draws on Italian culture, reimagining the joyful silhouette of classic gelato as a contemporary lighting object. Originally designed in the 1960s by Carlo Nason as a wired table lamp, it has been thoughtfully reintroduced in 2025 as a portable version.
A colourful hand-blown glass “cup” cradles a frosted glass orb that glows like a perfectly rounded scoop, celebrating both the playful spirit of Italy’s most beloved treat and their longstanding glassmaking tradition. The freestanding orb houses a custom-made LED bulb with an integrated battery and is operated by a three-step dimmer, allowing easy control of ambience. Charged directly on the orb via a magnetic USB-C cable, Gelato provides hours of warm, atmospheric light. Offered in four finishes—Spritz, Mint, Azure and Smoke—it brings character and colour to interiors, from homes to cafés.
