The Filigrana pendant light, designed in 2021, blends age-old manufacturing techniques with a contemporary sensibility, resulting in a wholly individual design.
Made by hand in a centuries-old process, coloured strips of rolled glass are added to the already molten glass of the shade before being blown. This intricate process results in a candy-cane effect through the glass, with a filigree of colour set against an acid-etched matt opal background. The great care and attention that goes into each light ensure that each is truly unique.
Filigrana Light harnesses the mastery and heritage of traditional Venetian glass blowing, merging a 16th-century technique from Murano with a modern aesthetic to create a mesmerising, candy cane-stripe light. Available in 6 different shapes, 5 different colour options and 4 group compositions, the Filigrana gives off a soft, diffused glow.
The largest cluster, the Cloud, is a group composition of 9 Filigrana Lights effortlessly suspended below a minimal ceiling fitting. So named for its voluminous, billowing form that seems to float from above, this impressive feature delivers the social-media ‘must capture' moment that hospitality venues now seek
