Ox Chair

An iconic chair with an inarguable presence, the Ox chair is a bold, sculptural chair that deviated from the minimalist Danish design language of that era. Referencing an ox horn, the design is distinctive and makes the chair a statement piece. A true Hans Wegner classic.
Originally manufactured by A.P. Stolen in the 1960s, each chair was custom-made and upholstered with wool. After remaining in production for two years, the production of the chairs was halted till three decades later when Wegner approached Erik Jørgensen in search of a more streamlined method of production. The Ox Chair was relaunched at the Milan Furniture Fair and has remained an iconic piece since.
Featuring a low steel base, the chair is regal yet relaxed. Each chair is crafted carefully as upholstering the chair requires great precision and physical strength taking a complete day to produce one chair.
The chair is available with either a black painted base or a brushed stainless steel base.

Materials
Fully upholstered easy chair in fabric or leather. Inner frame of solid wood and moulded cold cured foam. Pads at neck and armrest includes piping, available in leather as contrast to fabric upholstery. Stainless steel base.
