S-table
S-table by Marcel Gascoin for Gubi.
Originally created for the living quarters of officers at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Fontainebleau just outside of Paris.
It was a pragmatic and flexible design, to suit the small modern homes of a rebuilt France after World War II. Its clean lines coupled with its compact form and extending leaves make it a practical and versatile dining table.
The newly reissued table is based on Gascoin’s original drawings with a few minor adjustments, such as a slight increase in the height of the table to reflect modern ergonomics.
