Jonas Forsman’s O2 pushes the boundaries of upholstery through innovative design and construction. By pairing a custom-developed, form-fitting textile with a steel frame that provides both structure and comfort, it achieves a generous yet restrained aesthetic, using only a minimal layer of foam in the seat.
Molded foam cushions are secured with discreet push buttons, adding structure and support while preserving the chair’s light, sculptural character. A tailored textile cover is then pulled over and zipped into place. The fabric wraps beneath the frame and is neatly fixed, creating a clean silhouette with no visible fastenings.
The shrink-fitted fabric gently adapts to the sitter’s posture, offering a responsive sit with firm support. Available in a range of frame and fabric combinations, the O2 Lounge Chair strikes a balance between relaxed comfort and refined, architectural presence. Pair it with the O2 Ottoman for a complete lounge setup suited to both home and contract settings.
