The Layout Armchair was developed in 2025 by multidisciplinary designer Julien Renault for HAY. This chair seamlessly blends ergonomics with a forward-thinking design, making it an ideal choice for both modern homes and dynamic workspaces. The distinctive opening in the backrest not only improves comfort but also adds a sense of visual lightness.
Resting on slim tubular legs, the Layout Armchair offers a refined balance of stability and sophistication, enhancing any space with its minimalist elegance. The base's sleek form contrasts with its organic-shaped seat, adding a touch of modernity without compromising functionality.
Sustainably crafted, the seat shell is made from a minimum of 96% post-consumer recycled plastic. It comes in a variety of contemporary colours or can be fully upholstered for a softer feel. With all components designed to be easily disassembled, the armchair ensures long-term durability and sustainability while offering lasting comfort.
