The Tulip Round Dining Table, designed in 1957, is a true design classic. Through developing the collection, Eero Saarinen vowed to eliminate what he described as the "slum of legs" found under chairs and tables with four legs. He drew on his early training as a sculptor, refining his designs through to full-scale models, endlessly modifying the shape with clay.
The resulting product is a series of tables and chairs unified by their pedestal base, with the tables featuring an elegant bevel-edged table top available in a range of marble, veneer and laminate finishes.

Materials
Black base made from heavy moulded cast aluminium painted with Rilsan high-performance polymer coating.
The top is available in bevel-edged marble with a polyester coating, laminate or wood veneer.
All marble finishes are available with a glossy of satin coated finish. Arabescato and Staturaietto are also available in natural marble (uncoated). Please specify your desired finish in the text box.
Arabescato: White marble with grey veining
Statuarietto: White marble with deep grey/black veining in an intricate pattern
Nero Marquina: Black marble with white and grey random veins
Levanto: Intense dark green with burgundy/dark red veining and random light coloured veining
Rosso Rubino: Rich red with hues that can vary from violet to green with white and green veins
Grigio Carnico: Grigio Carnico marble is characterised by an intense grey color with important white, light and dark grey veining
Brown Emperador: Brown marble with random light brown and/or white veigning
Verde Alpi: Green marble with hues varying in tone and intensity
Please note: Table top sizes of 91dia, 107dia and 152dia are not available with natural oak, ebonised oak or walnut veneer. The 152dia table top is also not available with brown emperador marble.
The table features a nameplate with the KnollStudio logo and Eero Saarinen's signature on the underside.
The table top and base are packaged separetly.
