PH Snowball Pendant

Designed by Poul Henningsen, the PH Snowball Pendant Light was first shown at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art (Designmuseum Denmark) in 1958. Its unique design was overlooked for many years until its relaunch in 1983, and has since become a celebrated piece of Danish design.
Henningsen focused his career on creating lights that provide soft, glare-free diffused illumination. The PH Snowball Pendant features eight shades set at precise angles to form a spherical shape. When illuminated, the upper part glows while the lower remains in shadow, creating a dynamic interplay of light and dark.
In 2025, Louis Poulson released the pendant in two new colour-ways, dusty blue and dusty green, to join the original soft white. Each colour plays with the light in its own unique way, and its sculptural form adds a striking yet understated presence to any interior.

Materials
The shade is made from spun aluminium with frame in die-cast zinc in either in high lustre chrome plated or metallised brass.
Bulb: 1 x 70W E27 bulb (not included).
