Mauro chair, 2018

Mauro chair by Mauro Pasquinelli for Established + Sons.

Originally conceptualised in the 1970s by the Italian designer Mauro Pasquinelli, the Mauro chair has only now been made a reality. Featuring a gracefully curved seat and seat back, this stackable chair has a unique geometry that exudes effortless style and comfort. However, initial attempts to manufacture the chair were hindered by its futurist design - the technology didn't exist to produce the chair in significant numbers or at an affordable price.

Rediscovered by designer Sebastian Wrong on a visit to a plywood factory in Italy, the Mauro chair has been reproduced for the modern age, using modern processes that preserve the quality and style of the original model.
