In 1965 Charlotte Perriand designed a wall-mounted lamp inspired by the essential need to illuminate the faces reflected in the mirror of a cabinet designed for the renowned French glassworks, Boussois. The wall light was later transformed into the Lampe de Bureau, a table lamp with a steel stem and a translucid pressed glass diffuser.
The Lampe de Bureau is an essential exercise in rationalising the traditional table lamp and is available in various finishes.
