The Koti Birdhouse was designed by Mika & Julie Tolvanen for Pidät. More than just a birdhouse, “koti” means “home” in Finnish. This piece of bird architecture is meant to complement human architecture, creating a safe, beautiful home for birds.
Crafted from glazed ceramic, the birdhouse mounts to the wall on a wood cleat and lifts off for easy cleaning. The inside glaze is roughened beneath the entrance hole to help the birds climb out without difficulty.
The bird houses are made in a small Portuguese workshop founded in 1979, each piece reflects excellent craftsmanship.
