Progetti Compiuti Drawers
Progetti Compiuti Drawers by Shiro Kuramata for Cappellini.
The celebrated Progetti Compiuti collection comprises various chests of drawers with curved and linear forms. Initially designed in the 1970s, the range is now part of the MoMA's permanent collection in New York.
Cappellini has re-released the unique storage units, staying true to the original designs. It consists of two tall wave-shaped units (side 1 and side 2), a unit with drawers made of wood and metal (Solaris), and a piece with 49 asymmetrical drawers on wheels (PC_12).
The frame is made of laser-cut metal painted with black epoxy powder, whilst the drawers are made from a matte finished white lacquered wood. It features drawers of different sizes giving this unit an asymmetrical appearance.
