Quaderna 710 Console, 1970
Quaderna 710 console table by Superstudio for Zanotta.
The Quaderna range was designed by Superstudio for Zanotta in 1971 and is considered by critics as one of the clearest expressions of the theories of the 'Radical design' movement which was born in Italy in the late '60s. Starting from an extremely critical position in regards to the Modern movement, the Superstudio group theorised the necessity to adopt a new attitude towards projects - not only in a 'functional key' but also by giving great attention to symbolic and expressive aspects of the industrial products.
The table can be paired with the Quaderna 710 bench.
