The Cylinda-line was born at a family dinner in 1964, when Peter Holmblad, Arne Jacobsen's stepson and the owner of Stelton, asked Jacobsen to create a complete series that would include everything for the home bar. Jacobsen was initially hesitant due to his busy schedule, but after Holmblad showed him his sketches, he began developing these ideas further.
While Jacobsen's sketches may have appeared deceptively simple, the reality of production was far from it. The final products took three years of development.
