Arne Jacobsen Teapot

Teapot by Arne Jacobsen for Stelton.

Arne Jacobsen's classic teapot is a true Danish design icon. With its timeless, minimalist design, it exudes an elegant charm. The teapot boasts a generous 1.25-litre capacity and is part of the renowned Cylinda-line range. Made of high-quality stainless steel and featuring unique Bakelite handles, this teapot is a must-have for any tea lover seeking sophistication in their tea-making experience.

The Cylinda-line's conception began at a family dinner at Arne Jacobsen's three years before its launch in 1967. Peter Holmblad, Arne Jacobsen's stepson and the owner of Stelton, wanted Jacobsen to create a complete series for Stelton, consisting of everything for the home bar. Jacobsen was initially reluctant because of his busy schedule, but after Holmblad showed him his sketches, Jacobsen began to draw what would later become the teapot or the collection on a paper napkin.

When commenting on the collaboration, Peter Holmblad said, " I knew that when Arne saw my own inadequate sketches, he would instinctively make corrections. He could not stand the sight of ugly design."
