An evolution of the Pira shelving unit, initially designed by Swedish architect Olle Pira for the H55 exhibition in 1955, was unveiled at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2023.
Reimagined by architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström, the duo has embraced the original design while giving it contemporary appeal through modern materials and subtly nods to the 1950s.
The wall-mounted unit's shelves blend seamlessly with the poles, creating a unified structure within the modular system, resulting in a functional yet visually appealing presence.
