For their first outdoor range, Vaarnii has collaborated with Finnish designer Henrik Tjaerby to create the Osa Outdoor Dining Table and the Osa Bench.
Tjaerby, whose design aesthetic blends industrial design with exquisite carpentry, has designed an unapologetically brutal dining table and bench using an astutely contrived assembly of T-shaped beams and joints with minimal fixings.
Staying true to Vaarnii's ethos of honouring the natural qualities of pine, the Osa range is crafted from Finnish pine wood. To make it suitable for outdoor use, Vaarnii has used a heat treatment, which permits the wood to be more robust, light weight, and prevents warping.

Materials
Osa is crafted from Lunawood ThermoWood®, a heat and steam treated pine. The process ensures the wood is weather-resistant, dimensionally stable and 100% chemical-free.
The wood is PEFC certified and slow grown, finished with a stain-resistant, transparent, matte oil wax.
Please note that the wood will develop a silver tone when exposed to UV light. Please see the images at the end of the carousel to see the wood after one years use.
