Part of the Eames Plywood Group, the LCM (Loung Chair Metal) is a lounge chair made of a moulded plywood seat/backrest and slim metal base. First displayed in 1946 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the LCM chair utilized new processes for moulded plywood techniques in the 1940s.
Charles and Ray Eames were also the first to employ shock mounts to furniture design, providing strength, resiliency, and flexibility to the chair. Versatile and comfortable, this slender lounge chair features wooden shells designed to follow the contours of the body.

Materials
Available in the following finishes: natural ash, black-stained ash finish, black-pigmented walnut finish, natural ash shell with brown/white calfskin, black ash shell with black/white calfskin.
The chair can also be upholstered in calfskin hide.
Base available in chrome finish or powder-coated in basic dark.
Available with glides for carpet or hard floor.
