Cité armchair by Jean Prouve for Vitra.
The Cité armchair is one of Prouvé's early masterpieces, designed for a competition for furnishing the halls of residence at Nancy's Cité Universitaire. Prouvé himself used this armchair in the living room of his house. The chair has a dynamic appearance, with a characteristic coated sheet steel frame and broad leather arm support straps.
The belted natural leather strap encircles the chair leg structure on each side to create an armrest.
Fitted with plastic glides for carpet or felt glides for hard floors.
The Vitra original selection offers a 10-year warranty.
