In 2024, Wallace Sewell launched the Shetland Collection, featuring a range of throws with the British brand's signature style. These throws are made from Shetland wool and include three relaunched designs from 2014 presented in a new colour palette, adding a fresh and modern twist to the original designs.
The Shetland Tweed Throw features an intricately patterned design, paying homage to the rich history of Shetland wool through traditional tweed weaves. The skilled craftsmanship is highlighted through the combination of long chevrons and stripes, along with areas of plain and twill motifs in each piece.
The wool used for this blanket is sourced from Shetland sheep, bred in the harsh and cold climate of Scotland's Shetland Islands. Although not as fine as lambswool, Shetland wool is incredibly warm and durable while still remaining soft, making it ideal for colder temperatures.
Wallace Sewell woven textiles are hand-woven in the UK at family-owned mills.
