Inspired by the traditional Japanese futon, the Shiki sofa evokes the appearance of a thick padded mattress resting upon an upholstered wooden base. The design features a dynamic intersection of different thicknesses and heights, imitating an urban skyline, an architectural composition created from harmoniously contrasting materials, finishes and volumes.
As a part of the Shiki range, the prices shown here are for the three-seat option as shown in the main image. Additional pieces can also be bought as separate units, or to add to an existing sofa. Materials
Wooden frame. Elastic strips suspension.
Wooden base covered with the same fabric or leather of the sofa. Backrest and seat upholstered with graduated polyurethane/heat-bound polyester fibre. Backrest cushion in 100% new goose feathers. Roll-shaped cushion in polyurethane/heat-bound polyester fibre. Fixed internal nylon cover. Removable external fabric or leather cover with quilted seat cushion.
