Charles Eames + Eero Saarinen
The designers Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen created the organic chair.
The chair won the Organic Design in Home Furnishings award in 1940. The prize launched their careers in modern product design, with the pair continuing to have illustrious working lives, celebrated in exhibitions across the globe.
