Osvaldo Borsani is one of the Italian design greats. He began work at an early age in the family business of making furniture. Along with his brother Fulgenzio, he produced some iconic furniture like the Graphis system, the D70 sofa and the P40 lounge chair under their brand Tecno.
He was awarded the silver medal at the 1933 Fifth Milan Triennale for the "Minimal House" he designed. He also collaborated with artists such as Lucio Fontana, Aligi Sassu, Agenore Fabbri and Fausto Melotti. In 1953, he founded Tecno with his brother Fulgenzio under which he has designed some iconic furniture pieces like the P40 armchair and the D70 sofa.
