Originally designed for the Jing'an Kerry Centre Café in downtown Shanghai, an area steeped in history near the 1000-year-old Jing'an Temple, the chair is part of an interior design entirely created by the Keiji Ashizawa Design studio. The café’s wooden furnishings reflect the designer’s thoughtful approach to blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design.
The studio's work is often inspired by local surroundings, and this particular project was influenced by a Shanghai alleyway.
