Bertoia anniversary edition plastic side chair designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll.
The Bertoia collection includes a side chair, bar stool, counter height stool, bench, lounge chair, armchair, high back armchair and asymmetric armchair and has been in continuous production around the world since its introduction. The side chair is one of the most immediately recognisable chair designs of the twentieth century and has proved widely popular since its launch in 1952.
Knoll are celebrating the centenary of Bertoia's birth by introducing a new Anniversary Edition side chair which sees this comfortable and characterful icon of modern design reproduced with a polished plastic seat and a chrome base.
The anniversary edition side chair offers a modern take on a classic design which will sit happily in a wide range of contexts, whether contract or residential.
As Knoll historian Brian Lutz once said, “Bertoia’s paintings were better than his sculptures. And his sculptures were better than his furniture. And his furniture was absolutely brilliant.”

Materials
Chair frame is available in polished chrome or powder-coated black or white. The polished polypropylene seat is available in orange, yellow, white, blue, mid-grey and black.
Please note: chairs may only be ordered in pairs of the same colour.
The Knoll logo is stamped on the base of the chair frame.
