Makuri Ottoman
Makuri Ottoman by Michael Anastassiades for Koyori.
In 2024, the Makuri collection debuted at the 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, marking Michael Anastassiades' inaugural collection with Koyori. Anastassiades aim was to create a range that seamlessly integrated into Koyori's existing collection while also considering its scale, function, and role within the household.
The Makuri Ottomans silhouette offers a sense of clarity, while its gently curved seat invites you to use it for relaxing. Meticulously crafted, the seat naturally evolved to be made from plywood, a material that requires careful and precise craftsmanship to ensure its strength and prevent warping.
Although designed to accompany the Makuri lounge chair as a footrest, the ottoman can also function independently as a stool.
