First designed in 1971, the Panthella 160 lamp is enhanced with wireless functionality, making it portable and easy to carry. The lamp emanates a soft and comfortable diffused light without any glare. The hemispherical shade form directs light downwards, while the shade material allows light to diffuse and illuminate the surroundings, providing a subtle, gentle ambience.
The Panthella 160 Portable is available in a range of contemporary colours. The new portable version can also be wirelessly charged with a Qi wireless charger. The batteries can also be replaced, ensuring the Panthella portable lamp lasts a lifetime.
The portable lamp comes with a USB cable. An optional adapter is available to purchase.
On the 1st of May, 2025, Louis Poulsen are introducing two new colours to the Panthella 160 Portable: burgundy and moss green. These are available to pre-order from 1st April.

Battery lifetime: 8.5 hours @ 100%
The Panthella 160 Portable has an IP rating of 44, meaning it is protected from solid particles that are over 1mm in size and from low-velocity sprays of water from every direction. It is not waterproof and should not be stored outside.
Avoid leaving the cord in after the battery is fully charged and the light on, as this can potentially harm the battery's lifetime and usage capacity over time.
