Dot is a series of pendant lamps, designed by Foster + Partners to emulate the appearance of radiant light discs. The pendants are crafted with precision using the most cutting-edge lighting technology. Dot consists of two parallel disks of varying sizes, intricately linked through a slender metal tube at their centres. The smaller, lower disk is crafted from turned aluminium and houses an LED ring engineered to emit a substantial amount of light onto the upper disk—the diffuser—constructed from lacquered aluminium.
The powerful light source generates a significant amount of heat, which the lower disk alone cannot effectively dissipate. To address this challenge, a specialized heat sink, commonly utilized in the aerospace industry, is strategically placed within the narrow tube connecting the disks. Its primary function is to establish a thermal connection between the LED circuit and a heat dissipator located within the upper disk. When activated, Dot transforms into a slender, lightweight disk seemingly suspended in mid-air, emitting a soothing, all-encompassing glow of light without any discernible shadows.
Dot is available in three different diameters and power specifications: ø60cm (23W), ø80cm (41W), ø110cm (55W). The lamp is offered in two distinct finishes: anodized black and anodized brass.

Note:
A 2700K light emits a cosy, yellow-toned glow, while a 3000K light provides a crisp, white light. The 3000K lighting is ideal for lively spaces such as home offices, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchens.
The 2700K lights are better suited for areas where a warm and relaxing ambiance is desired, like the living room, dining room, and bedroom.
